Jessie Sholl is a fiction/health/culture writer, freelance editor, and writing teacher who lives in New York City. Her essays and stories have appeared in The New York Times, Other Voices, Fiction, Lit, and the forthcoming anthology Be Thrifty. She's the co-editor of the literary non-fiction anthology Travelers' Tales Prague and the Czech Republic (Travelers' Tales Press, February 2006) and she is a frequent contributor to Everyday Health.

Jessie has been awarded residencies to The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow and Ragdale. She holds an MFA from The New School University, where she currently teaches creative writing.
